We are a family of 4, 2 children aged 6 and 11. We stayed here while attending a wedding at the Coquillade nearby. The rooms are Clean and cool during the summer. breakfast included with artisanal jams, yogurt, baguettes, croissants, cereal etc. The outdoor space to take an apéro in the evening with their local wine or breakfast is breathtaking with classic Provençal views. The pool is also great and relaxing. I highly recommend staying here and we will be coming back the next time we are in the area. Several of the other guests were repeat guests or those that heard about it from their friends. The little town of Roussillon is a quick visit where there is the Sentiers des Ocres, Arizona/Utah type red rocks.

The area of lavender and the yellow ochre landscape that inspired Van Gogh was appealing to us. We looked through Internet and we decided to stay few days in this gites d'etape in the middle of the park of Luberon. We don't repent!! The hotel is an old mill restored and the rooms are very agreeable. The food prepared by Gilles and Isabelle is excellent. There is a small size swimming pool but good enough to refresh after an extremely hot day. It's a good idea to set a long table for dinner outside in the garden for all the clients together which allows them to meet new people and different cultures. Excellent to go with children. Gilles who is an excellent connoisseur of the area gave us good suggestions about daily trips that we would not probably do without his help. Perching villages, and walking itineraries through different parts of the park which strengthened our legs. At the end we were able to disconnect!! Thank you Gilles and Isabelle. My husband and I just had to return for this experience once again, this time for 8 nights. Both hosts speak English so communication among all is easily achieved.
Gilles is a trained chef and his cooking is to die for....
Rooms are very comfortable and the outside sitting area quite pleasant for a relaxing aperitif before dinner. Dinners and breakfasts are copious, delicious and good value.
The B&B is set back in a quiet setting of a vineyard- but also very accessible to a main road which makes it perfect for exploring a huge area of Provence: the numerous villages titled "the most beautiful villages of France", among them Gordes & Rousillon just next door and many others within a ½ hr drive. In about an hour one can reach Les Baux de Provence and the Carrières de Lumières, the Roman Theater & Arch in Orange, Aix-en-Provence, Château de Tarascon, Beaucaire, Abbaye de Montmajour, etc.

Comme vous le constaterez d’après la carte, le Moulin de Lavon est idéalement situé car au milieu des hauts lieux naturels et touristiques du massif du Luberon.
Vous n’aurez que très peu de km à faire pour arriver au départ des randonnées diverses et visites touristiques autres que sportives
Nous vous assisterons au mieux pour organiser vos journées, nous pouvons vous prêter des cartes touristiques, des topos de randonnées, toute une documentation sur les curiosités provençales.
